Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management, and troubleshooting for engineering projects. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.

  • Coordinate and manage the center maintenance and renovation program. Coordinate regular meetings with Plasma Operations to identify and prioritize possible projects and to monitor progress. Define project scope, obtain cost estimates, and obtain approval to proceed. For approved projects, draft capital request and obtain approval, coordinate with contractors and center leadership to plan the work, monitor the work, track project budgets, and address issues, as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage other smaller capital projects and emergency repairs, as assigned. Conduct meetings with customers to identify and plan possible projects and to monitor progress. Define project scope, obtain cost estimates, and obtain approval to proceed. For approved projects, draft capital request and obtain approval, coordinate with contractors and center leadership to plan the work, monitor the work, track project budgets, and address issues, as needed
  • Provide engineering support to larger renovation, new center projects, or other projects, as assigned. This can include technical analysis and troubleshooting, scoping and design development, planning and estimating. This can also include documenting project scope and status and developing capital requests.
  • Oversee the annual freezer data review process. Ensure that freezer reports are performed on a timely and accurate basis. Follow up to coordinate as needed
  • Ensure that all work complies with local regulations, FDA/GHA, cGMP, and safety requirements, and CSL policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and coordinate work, monitor status, and resolve issues. Provide regular updates to management on project and budget status
  • Other tasks as required by Department Management.

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction preferred. In lieu of an Engineering degree, technical experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industry may be considered.

Experience

 4+ years of technical experience with 3 years minimum in pharma or life sciences preferred. In lieu, proven ability to perform in this role will be considered (such as on-site contract/consultant experience) in pharma or regulated industry may be considered

 Analysis and Project definition experience

 Strong communication skills with customers, design teams, contractors, and management

 Action oriented skills

 Good problem solving skills, time management and prioritizing skills

 Ability to learn on the fly and good technical learning skills

 Travel could be up to 50% of the time, but may depend on project.
