This site role is responsible for implementing strategy, driving behavioral and cultural change, and driving continuous improvement of EHS2 practices through the development and review of EHS2 systems and services against compliance requirements, industry best practices and global standards. This requires the role to facilitate EHS2 objective and target agreement with senior management, and support workers and their line management to meet EHS2 responsibilities under applicable legislative, regulatory or internal standards.

  •  Develop and oversee the Occupational Safety programs, training, and regulatory compliance assurance for donor centers, lab, and offices
  •  Develop and oversee the Occupational Health and hygiene programs, training, and regulatory compliance assurance for donor centers, lab, and offices
  • Develop and oversee the Environmental programs, training and regulatory compliance assurance for donor centers, lab, and offices
  • Oversight of EHS2 Incident management processes
  • Ensuring onsite non-employee health and safety management
  •  Direct effective EHS2 review, design requirements, and approval of processes, projects and changes
  • Provides expert support to outside EHS2 regulatory agencies and internal audits
  •  Lead, manage, and develop the EHS2 staff ensuring appropriate organizational structure, staffing, skills, technical knowledge and prioritization of work to support business objectives and operational compliance
  • Facilitates the management of significant EHS2 risks through the Plasma donor centers and offices
  • Oversee the effectiveness of emergency preparedness processes
  •  Budget operational expenses and manage forecasts
  •  Partner with the business to drive health and wellbeing improvements for CSL Plasma employees
  • Manage workers compensation, leave, and return to work programs

Education

Scientific Degree (Bachelors or Masters) required.  EHS, Engineering, or related EHS discipline preferred

Experience

10+ years of overall experience in EHS is required

A minimum of 3+ years leading teams or direct people management

Preferred:

Experience working in a matrix organization

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Experience leading an EHS program for a site/facility

This position requires a sense of urgency, self-awareness and adaptability. This person shall be results and performance driven with a strong grasp of the global team organization.
